INTRO;

Gilgit Baltistan is always considered a huge panorama of beauty and it's culture. It not only manifests the locals but also the people from all over the world visit this dream destination. Every year many tourists come to visit this masterpiece. They get not only attracted to it but wish to visit this place again. 

ICE SKATING FESTIVAL 2023;

Due to it's boundless beauty, this year for the first time an ice skating sport festival took place. It was about a two day festival which captures a lot of eye stunning scenes. The sport ministry of CANADA got inspired by this piece of heaven and decided to conduct an ice skating competition between the 4 different teams of baltistan division. 

These teams were given the names according to their cities. That's quite knowledge developing. 

• Siachen Red
• Baltoro Blue
• Biafo Yellow 
• Chogo Lugma Green

This festival took place at Khalti lake, Ghizer, SKARDU. The host was the Baltistan division. However, the chief guest was the Canadian High comissioner. It took place under the supervision of SCARF ( sports club & rising federation). The special ice rink was made at District park, Halmaranga. All the people were in full joy. They were enjoying the snow. The Era. The scent. And all those happiness which was spread by the organizers. All the teams played really well. The final was played between Red & Green. But the winner was Siachen Red. Little children were waiving the flags. Enjoying the breeze of chilled atmosphere. That was truly a complete picture of Pakistanu beauty and development.

PURPOSE OF EVENT ;

The main purpose of this event was the awareness about severe climate change taking place in the region. Due to this severity, many wild life has affected, many forests are now near to destruction due to dry weather. Environmental awareness is always been on the first priority list. Whether it is fire works or skating festivals, it should be make sure about all the effects on the surrounding. There would be such a disastrous results in future, if the current condition of globe remains the same. Endangered species should be conserved. All the eye worthing forestry should be conserved. And we all have to take care of our lovely land.

DINING CUSTOMS

 Experiencing different food is one of the best parts of traveling but with new food we have new dining rules.

1. KOREA;

Let's get started in Korea. You need to wait for the oldest person to sit down first. You also don't start eating until the elders say let's eat and during the meal you don't hold your bowl of soup or rice . You leave it on the table. 

2.CHINA;

Really it's the opposite here in China, people usually hold their chopsticks with one hand and the bowl with another but we have strict rules about how we use chopsticks we don't stick them in our rice bowls or play with them. It's very rude.

3. ENGLAND;

In England it is badmanners to point with your knife or fork and English tea is a big part of our culture. Remember when stirring tea, the spoon should never touch the side of the cup. The clinking sound is rude, since we like quiet meal. 

4. JAPAN;

That's so interesting here in Japan. Sometimes it's okay to eat noisily, if you are eating noodles we usually slurp our noodles to show how much we're enjoying the food but we only do that with noodles we still eat other food quietly.

5. INDIA;

In India, you can show the chef that you have really enjoyed your meal by leaving your plate empty and we like to eat food with our fingers. We always joke that eating with fingers makes the food taste better.

6. CHILE;

 

In Chile we never use our hands to touch any food. We always use utensils even when eating french fries and remember women always take their seats at the table before men. We use a fork only to push food onto our spoon we never use a fork to put food directly into our mouths.
